Bard fans, here's an info for you all!
As you know, trio Norell/Oson/Bard have wrote large amount of songs for various artists. In 1980's they wrote for Ankie Bagger a song called "Where Were You Last Night" which became a huge club-hit.
In 2004 a world-known Finnish heavy-metal band Nightwish made their own version of the song. Something special - very dramatic music, more suitable for the text.
If anybody is interested in having Norell/Oson/Bard in metal, just go to the official Nightwish-Shop and buy their cd-single "Wish I Had An Angel" which contains this non-album cover-song.

Hello again to all!
I encoded two versions of "Where Were You Last Night" into small files but with good quality. Now it's your turn to download and tell what you feel with that songs
Песня Nightwish просто суперская! Меня Nightwish-ом еще подруга заразила. Её попса не вставляет, Барда ни в какую не ставит. Надо ее обрадовать этой песенкой. Может она изменит своё мнение

Fun to see a blast from the past covered by a "hip" band!
While Nightwish's version is OK, I must say that it wasn't anything special in my ears. I think I like the original better. Also, Anki Bagger is a better singer, well maybe not better since music tastes are subjective, but I still think that the Nightwish singer could have done a better job.
Now I'm just waiting for HIM to cover "Jimmy Dean"... Or Marilyn Manson to do "I'm So, I'm So, I'm So (I'm So in Love With You)".

David, if you like metal covers of retro songs, you should probably like HIM's "Solitary Man" cover? And Manson's "Sweet Dreams"?
