Установи K-Lite Codec Pack , какой-нибудь из последних, 453, например. С этим пакетом установится media player classic, очень хороший проигрыватель. Я, лично, видео смотрю через the kmplayer, у него встроенные кодеки, если будешь ставить его, то K-Lite Codec Pack не нужен.

Только не перепутай the kmplayer c просто kmplayer (этот под linux).
