See the movie and then listen to the songs "Tears". I just bought the original single a few days ago (Playground International: "And Then the Tears Came") and remembered that I had years ago thought that maybe the songwriters had read the comic book "V for Vendetta". With the new movie and all, I guess more people can relate to the song's lyrics.
She doesn't dare to open her eyes Cause everytime she does a part of her dies Her eyelids, protecting her from the outside Locked in her cage with all her rage
And then the tears came And then the tears came And then the tears came rolling, rolling down Yeah, and then the tears came rolling down
She took it too far, she was too brave You can't take away, what God once gave Water, nutrition and the comfort of the cage Red turns to gray, fading away
So we have to keep her in this room She's a flower Who is desperately trying to bloom

I went too see the movie last night and was actually a bit disappointed. My girlfriend thought it was a thought-provoking movie, and I guess it is, but if you have read the comic book original you're bound to be missing a lot of good things. The strongest parts of the movie were actually the ones where the lines were taken directly from the comic book.
They cut out some of the best lines from "Evey's big revelation", the passage that corresponds to the lyrics of the Vacuum/PI song. What they removed is what I think I see in this song:
Evey: You say you want to set me free and you put me in a prison... V: You were already in a prison. You've been in a prison all your life. Evey: Shut up! I don't want to hear it! I wasn't in a prison! I was happy! V: Happiness is a prison, Evey. Happiness is the most insidious prison of all. I didn't put you in a prison, Evey. I just showed you the bars. You're afraid because you can feel freedom closing in upon you. You are afraid because freedom is terrifying... The door of the cage is open, Evey. All that you feel is the wind from outside. Don't be afraid. This night is yours. Seize it. Encircle it within your arms. Bury it in your heart up to the hilt. Becaome transfixed... Become transfigured... Forever.

...Been to the movies tonite... 'V For Vendetta'! Let me tell you, when I saw the movie poster for the first time, I realised I wanted to go see the movie! To say the truth, my friends are mildly sceptic, although I claim it to be a masterpiece. I don't have much favourites among those films based on comic books, but this one isn't typically 'predictable,' however, I did predict a few plot turns.
Yet in a way, this script contains many great thoughts in it, mostly politically oriented and even though I am not a fan of such kind'a things, 'V For Vendetta' made me think. Not to say anything about the romantic side of it, which is represented in the relationships between V and the Evey... All in all, I'd say it is great action combined with wise thoughts. Ultimate. Uncompromising. Decisive. To me, it is more than some 'blood-massacre,' but, perhaps, it is to you?

I will Kill the director of this movie ! Bald Natalie Portman is mortal sin !
Hm, well, it doesn't influence my own vision of the 'V For Vendetta' iaf. She looks natural there. I think I have only seen one movie with Portman, and that was 'Closer,' which I found enexplicable crap! If there was anyone to kill, my personal preference would have been the director of 'Closer'!
