You could say to the universe, this is not fair. And the universe would say: Oh, isn't it? Sorry.
Well, what to say … it seems the same again…always obssesed with some gay-christian issue … To tell the truth, this theme became quite boring , like there is nothing else in this world to sing about. After all, I googled a bit, it seems the writer of the song says : “Victor Willis wrote about the YMCA and having fun there, but the type of fun he was talking about was straight fun. When he says, ‘Hang out with the boys,’ he’s talking about the boys, the fellas,” Wolf said. “But it’s one of those ambiguous songs that was taken that way because of the gay association with Village People.”
I rememeber the song, I liked it … really optimistic feeling – when you are feeling down, to know that you are not alone, that you have an understanding and help and that makes you so happy!! And this is something to what every normal person can relate. It’s really boring these preempts … like there is no other situation in this world than to be an unacceptable gay… and now EVERY song must be some revolutionary step in changing this The song sounds good, not because it represents something … after all I think that every really good song no matter from what the inspiration came from, has some universal, multi-layered quality, and many many different “interpretations” can be percieved from it. Good things are universal, they are not straight, gay, christian, ateist or any other sort of divisions. And giving significance to only one “interpretation”, what Bard is doing all the time… becomes quite meaningless. Well, that’s only my opinion and that is someone who is not male and not gay, so maybe I’m not qualified enough to understand this tematic – but that’s only my point of view.

I think this song is good and optimistic. And I like this bit of course. About whom or about what it?I really don't know but I think everyone to whom it's pleasant, can find in it something personal for him(her)self.
