OK, as the new album is coming out soon and appears to have been worked on for a long time, I was wondering what influences Mattias and Anders may have had and also how these will have been interpreted into the music and lyrics.
As a major fan of David Sylvian and Depeche Mode, I was glad to read somewhere that Mattias is also very interested in these artists, which I think was apparent in Starting.... (very DM influenced i think) and Ripples... (very Sylvian influenced). As a result I'm really hoping that the new stuff is of equal quality to this.
What does everybody else think?

Hi DesRes! Personaly, I think that there are next influence factors: 1. Bard-off Freedom. 2. Mattias' livestory. 3. Andreas' exp. IMHO, V/acuum more influence on music world, than music world on V/acuum.

I suppose, the new Vacuum album will continue in the way of style, which was started in 2000 with My Melting Mood, Tears... And I agree with DesRes about DM influence. By the way, this is very good influence for Vacuum, don't you think? And of course, the new album will have lots of influence from personal Mattias' thoughts...
all right ... that's the realy interesting idea to find MD first ... ok ... downloading Gone To Earth Cd - is that good one?... it might be interesting stuff to listen to. I personaly think if Vacuum would continue in the way they did My Melting Mood, Tears... it would be the best i could expect from the new albom. But if it's gonna by more "fools", I PERSONALY will upset.
