The review of the meeting and concert in the 25th of March, 2006. (by Aniv) |

More than twelve hours have already passed after the concert start. I’m here at my home trying to collect my emotions and thoughts together and put them into words. It’s so hard because I’m too excited. I haven’t yet slept yet and I really don’t want to.
Well. From the beginning.
Oksana (Ksusha), Marina (Olympia), Olya (Una Ragazza), Alex and I entered City-Center at 20:50 and after those 10 minutes we were like on hot pan sitting in the restaurant Moskva and sharing our table with Zhanna (Milady777) and Lena (Yozhik) from Nizhniy Novgorod. Our thoughts were mixed by nobody knowing any information about the meeting with group. After quick investigation we already knew the place – 5th floor, conference hall. But someone told me that the organizer is standing at the entrance. Few of us were lucky enough that we lifted down to ask that organizer (who appeared to be Vlad Davydov, Icon Management) when the meeting had to be and where should we wait for it. Vlad told me that the band was not yet in the place and that they would come soon. And his second phrase was “And here is Mattias!”. And few seconds after we and Mattias saw each other… He asked if we are coming to the meeting and then disappeared behind the elevator’s door together with the band.
After traveling by elevator up & down, we finally got to the conference hall. And that was really warm and friendly meeting. Everybody got so much positive energy! Vacuum and Mattias personally received tons of wonderful gifts from fans, and fans in return received tons of hugs, personal photos, autographs and conversation. Mattias introduced us the musicians – Olaf on keyboards and new wonderful guitar player (sorry, I didn’t catch his name). That was so much told and seen and done at the meeting that I just cannot describe everything. One thing – the meeting became the real energetic burst both for fans and for the band.
After some rest Vacuum began their concert.
Mattias saw familiar faces everywhere – on the dancefloor and at tables and he did his best to make that concert the greatest one they ever did. They started the performance with new single and it was amazing. It is really great song and I know that the will be no one who won’t love it. Here’s the songlist of the show:
1. Six Billion Voices
2. Your Whole Life Is Leading Up To This
3. Fools Like Me
4. Power
5. Mind Your Mind
6. In The Dirt
7. Starting Where The Story Ended
8. Icaros
9. Let the Mountain Come to Me (acoustic version)
While playing those songs Mattias came down to dancefloor from time to time and also went up to tables. After wonderful acoustic Let The Mountain Come To Me Mattias decided to play a little with the audience clapping with constantly raising tempo and he purred melody of Hava Nagila at the end of that madness!
10. The Void
11. I Breathe
This song was performed by Vacuum and its fans, as Mattias walked across the restaurant and let some lucky persons (we were in that number) to sing one or two lines.
12. Six Billion Voices (2nd time)
13. Preview
They said goodbye but the audience didn’t want them to go, so they performed one more song:
14. Fools Like Me (2nd time)
Few minutes after the show there were the second meeting with Mattias giving us signed copies of yet unreleased single Six Billion Voices. But, please, don’t ask anyone of us to send the songs. Mattias took a promise from everyone there not to share the single and use it only privately.
Well, after that, most people went home but we came back to our table and few minutes after the whole band took the table nearest to ours. So we were lucky again to appear at the correct time in the correct place.
Uphhh….
Got to go now. Sorry if you expected more from my report. I’ll try to expand it later.
Now I’m leaving you some photos and full-length video of Preview performance.
Yours,
Anatoly Ivanov (Aniv)
PS:
I want to say thank you to all Vacuum band, to Mattias personally, to all the fans I met there. And two special “thankyous” to Vlad Davydov and our dearest Nika. You are great persons!
