So here we go with the report
about one more concert of "Vacuum" in the city of Moscow. This time it took place in Cherry Casino/Metelitsa club on 28th of May '99 at 1 o'clock at night. This time there were not as many fans as at the show in MHAT, for the reasons that it was very late, the night club is very expensive and no teen-age gals and boys were allowed to visit it. You can enter it only if you're 18 or older. "Vacuum" came to Moscow at 17:35 by Swiss Airlines on 28th of May. And next day, on 29th, they already had 2 live performances in St. Petersburg. One in the night club, called "Hollywood Nites", and the other one at a *big* stadium, where they had to sing right after the foot-ball match. The band started to give interviews straight after their arrival, so their schedule was very tight for they had only a few hours for performance in the club, paying attention to the journalists and TV programs and for having at least a little rest.
And now let me say a few words about the concert itself... On stage we could see only Marina and Mattias, again without Alexander, who has turned only into the producer of the band. However, 2 new members had come instead of him. The photo of one of them - Bjorn - you can see in this page. "Vacuum" performed the same program as in November '98, but we could hear 2 new songs - "Then The Tears Came" and "My Melting Mood". I liked the last one especially a lot. I'm not going to get into descriptions, you should hear the song on your own to make up your opinion of it [hopefully in August of this year; the album-release is planned for that time]. All the rest was the same. And of course Mattias sang live, as always! He was a bit tired, but his voice was great. I'm actually even more fond of live performances than the songs recorded in the studio. Marina left almost immediatly after the concert. The plane to St. Petersburg departed at about 10 I guess, so "Vacuum" had to be at the airport at 8. However, Mattias stayed 'til 4-something o'clock in the morning. As you could guess he enjoys parties after the shows very much:-) And who doesn't?
Well, I think that's it by now. It's impossible to mention everything, because of course you'd have a greater impression if you see "Vacuum" live yourself. And we, Russians, especially the ones who are from Moscow, waiting for Marina and Mattias to visit us again very soon [it's very likely to happen in August next time]. Thanx once more to our beloved duet for their wonderful songs, and to Mattias Lindblom in particular!
