In 1997/98 Vacuum was formed and enjoyed instant success with the single “I Breathe” and a Gold album. Within a year Vacuum was the biggest international band in Russia and headlined Festival Bar in Italy in front of 300 000 people together with acts like The Fugees and John Bon Jovi.
After extensive touring and in demand as songwriters / producers for artists like Alcazar, Rachel Stevens (S Club 7) and Rouge (Brazil) and numerous other major artists, Mattias Lindblom and Anders Wollbeck aka Vacuum decided to set their creative processes in motion and create a great third album. The result, a body of work where grand pop melodies collide with cool grooves, gothica, and infectious big beats while lyrically merging Nordic melancholia, twisted love songs and the suspense of a Motion picture thriller entitled Your Whole Life Is Leading Up To This.
Inspired by the hit TV series Six Feet Under, The first single “They Do It”, is an electro / pop anthem. The album features 13 songs. Ranging from the up-tempo, super-electro of “The Void” to the bitter-sweet guitars on “Fools Like Me”. Your Whole Life Is Leading Up To This is a journey well worth taking.
